Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay K. Nayak is the Vice-Chancellor of Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha, appointed in early 2021. He is a distinguished academic and researcher with over 36 years of experience, specializing in polymer science, nanocomposites, and eco-friendly plastics. Previously, he served as the Director General of the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET).

• Academic Credentials: Holds a dual Ph.D. in Science and Engineering, as well as a D.Sc. in Advanced Thermoplastic Composites and Nanocomposites.
• Expertise: His research focuses on natural fiber-based composites, biodegradable polymers, and waste management, with over 370 publications in international journals.
• Leadership Roles: Before joining Ravenshaw University, he held leadership positions at CIPET and has been a member of various national committees, including the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
• Awards: Recipient of the ‘Distinguished Scientist Award’ from the Asian Polymer Association (APA) and the ‘National Awards for Technology Innovations’ in the petrochemicals sector.
