Research Conclave
It is also proposed to organize research conclave as per parallel session concurrently. The main objective of the research conclave is to encourage the young students from the universities who are involved in packaging research. In addition, the scientists who have developed the innovative packaging materials and systems through packaging systems will be invited to make their research paper presentation during the research conclave. It is believed that the research conclave would enable to attract the young scientists from India as well as overseas universities to make research paper presentation. This definitely motivates the young researchers and scientists to enhance the credibility of research in the field of packaging.
- The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is an autonomous body established under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI), Government of India, in association with leading packaging and allied industries on 14 May, 1966 with the basic principle:
- To promote export market by way of innovative package design & development
- To support the packaging industry by providing technical services
- To upgrade the overall standards of packaging
- To impert issue-based packaging solutions and tailor-made training programs
- To formulate packaging specifications of commodity goods for both domestic and export markets
- Founded on 6th September, 1968 at Tokyo by visionary leaders from the global packaging community, the World Packaging Organization (WPO) is a non profit, non governmental, International Federation of National Packaging Institute, and associations, Regional Packaging Federations and other interested parties including individuals, corporations and trade associations.
- The Asian Packaging Federation (APF), a non profit organization established in Tokyo, Japan in 1967, unites the packaging interests of all trade and industries in the Asia Pacific Region and beyond under cooperative umbrella. The APF Secretariat rotates amongst the member countries.
