Shri S. V. Shukla serves as Director of the Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC), Kannauj, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. With extensive experience in fragrance, flavour, and essential oil sector development, he plays a pivotal role in strengthening India’s aroma and allied industries.

As Director, Mr. Shukla oversees research, testing, training, and technology development initiatives aimed at enhancing value addition in natural aromatic products. He is actively involved in promoting scientific distillation practices, quality standardization, and entrepreneurship development among MSMEs engaged in essential oils, perfumery compounds, and flavour formulations. His leadership supports modernization of traditional attar and aromatic industries, particularly in Kannauj, widely known as India’s “Perfume Capital.”

Mr. Shukla has contributed to capacity-building programs, skill development workshops, and incubation support for start-ups and rural enterprises. He works closely with farmers, distillers, manufacturers, and exporters to improve crop productivity, processing efficiency, and global market access for Indian aromatic products.

Under his guidance, FFDC continues to focus on research-driven innovation, quality certification services, and sustainable cultivation practices aligned with international standards. His efforts aim to integrate traditional knowledge with modern scientific techniques, enhancing competitiveness and export potential of India’s fragrance and flavour sector.

Through strategic leadership and institutional development, Mr. S. V. Shukla continues to advance the growth of MSMEs in the aroma industry while contributing to rural employment generation and value chain strengthening in the fragrance and flavour ecosystem.
