Rakesh Shah is a seasoned professional in the packaging and plastics industries, notably serving as the former Chairman of the Northern Regional Centre for the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Delhi and as a Member of its Governing Body. His leadership in these sectors is further underscored by his role as a former Vice-president of the Indian Plastics Institute (IPI), an organization dedicated to the professional development and technological advancement of the plastics industry in India. Mr. Shah’s career spans significant executive leadership positions, including his tenure as the former Managing Director of Windmöller & Hölscher India Pvt. Ltd., where he specialized in high-end machinery for flexible packaging.

An alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University, where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Shah’s background combines technical expertise with strategic industry management. Throughout his career, he has been a prominent figure at national conferences and trade exhibitions, often serving as a speaker or session chairman for forums such as the National Conference on Packaging. His contributions extend to industry governance and mentoring, having been a member of the Institution of Engineers India and currently active in coaching and consulting roles through RS Coaching and Consulting. His work continues to influence the standards of packaging and plastic manufacturing in India, particularly through his participation in advisory committees like the All India 2024 Screening Committee for industry awards.
