Mr. Prabhakar Rao Bantwal is the Chairman and Managing Director of Suprabha Protective Products Pvt. He is a Chartered Accountant-turned industrialist who has established himself as a respected leader and innovator in the field of corrosion control and sustainable packaging.
Under his leadership, Suprabha has become a trusted partner for over 6,000 engineering and industrial customers nationwide, offering advanced Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) systems, eco-friendly packaging, and turnkey corrosion mitigation solutions. Mr. Bantwal’s strategic vision emphasized reducing dependency on costly imported anti-corrosion products by developing locally manufactured, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible alternatives.
Mr. Bantwal began his journey with a small team, immersing himself deeply in research, production, quality testing, and market strategy, and grew Suprabha into a leading industrial brand. His pioneering work introduced natural and organic VCI technologies that helped Indian manufacturers protect metal products during storage, transit, and export, preserving quality while significantly saving on corrosion costs.
A core focus of Mr. Bantwal’s leadership has been the concept of “Life Cycle Protection”, a holistic approach to corrosion management that addresses corrosion risks at every stagefrom raw material receipt to final dispatch and customer delivery. Through this and other innovations like natural clay-based desiccants and compostable packaging materials, he has championed environmentally friendly solutions with lower carbon footprints.
Beyond technical innovation, Mr. Bantwal is recognized for his commitment to social impact. He has actively promoted women’s empowerment and skill development, employing hundreds of women from rural communities in his manufacturing operations, which has enhanced livelihoods and economic independence. He has also supported educational initiatives for underprivileged children and contributed generously to healthcare causes, including sponsoring treatment for economically disadvantaged patients.
