It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the three days 5th International Summit for Packaging Industry (ISPI - 2025) organized by the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP). The theme of the event, the 5S of packaging, namely Safe, Secure, Standardized, Smart and Sustainable Packaging, is highly relevant in the current scenario where packaging is not only expected to protect the product but also to safeguard the environment and the health of the consumer.

IIP, established in 1966, is an autonomous body working under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, with the specific objective of improving the packaging standards in the country. Over the years, IIP has played a pivotal role in enhancing the competitiveness of Indian exports through packaging improvements. The Institute's activities encompass the entire spectrum of packaging, including research and development, education, training, testing, consultancy, and various other industry-focused services.

The three days ISPI - 2025 is a platform for sharing technical knowledge, discussing the latest trends and technologies, and networking with peers and experts from India and overseas. The event showcases the Institute's commitment to promoting excellence in packaging and its efforts towards the sustainable development of the packaging industry.

I am confident that this International summit will serve as a valuable resource for the participants and the packaging industry in guiding their future endeavours.
