The purpose of this IIP PACKATHON is to invite Indian and Overseas students, researchers and innovators to inspire creativity and foster innovation, IIP PACKATHON brings together visionary entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and mentors to collaborate, share knowledge, and push the boundaries of what's possible.
Yes, the participants are expected to form teams of up to three members including at least one team lead.
No, a participant may only register as a member of a single team.
No, the employees of IIP may not participate in the IIP PACKATHON.

The IIP PACKATHON will be organised in Two Stages, First stage as a hybrid event with processes for registration of participants, accessing the datasets to be utilised for each Problem Statement, and submission of developed prototypes and the Second stage where shortlisted participants will Showcase and demonstrate their Idea/Prototype at ISPI platform.
The IIP PACKATHON will take place during a total of 40 days from the start of registration of participants to the final date for submission of developed prototypes.
The developed prototypes or Idea in Final stage needs to be submitted for evaluation by the registered participants will vary according to the selected Problem Statement to be addressed by the participants concerned. Please read the detailed Problem Statements on the official event page to learn more about the expected prototype outputs/solutions associated with the respective Problem Statements.
Yes, the organisers will appoint a jury comprising experts from various relevant fields to evaluate the prototypes submitted in response to each Problem Statement category.
A jury of experts will be constituted to evaluate the submissions across all 8 Problem Statement categories and select the top 3 best performing teams who will be awarded the following prizes: The Top 5 participants will be incubated at the Incubation Centre at IIP DELHI. • Rs. 75,000/- for the most innovative Sustainable solution; • Rs. 50,000/- for the second most innovative solution; and • Rs. 25,000/- for the third most innovative solution.
The jury shall evaluate the submitted prototypes on the basis of the following set of criteria: • Concept: The submission must offer a disruptive and unique citizen-centric concept; • User Experience: The submission must offer a convenient user friendly prototype; • Eco- Friendly: The submission should be Eco friendly. • Quality: The submission must meet the standard guidelines set by GOI; • Sustenance: The team must adequately demonstrate a plan for updating, sustenance and continuing usability of the submitted prototype.
A participant providing false information during the registration process or later in the IIP PACKATHON shall be disqualified.
Yes, it is mandatory for the participants to provide correct contact information and update the same if and when applicable.
No, only a single account may be created by each participant registering for the IIP PACKATHON. Similarly, a team may create only a single account for the same.
Yes, the participants must certify the originality of their work before submitting the same for evaluation.
Yes, participants may submit previously published or awarded work.
The Idea/Prototype to be submitted must be free from any malpractice, counterfeiting, reclamation and illegal standards.
The participants must follow the Terms and Conditions of the IIP PACKATHON..
The jury shall have the final decision with respect to awarding of the most innovative and promising prototypes submitted and the same cannot be challenged.
Yes, the IIP may change the Terms and Conditions of the IIP PACKATHON as per its requirement.
