Dr. Kirtiraj K. Gaikwad

Dr. Kirtiraj K. Gaikwad is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Paper and Packaging Technology at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), Uttarakhand, India. He is a packaging scientist whose research focuses on sustainable, active and intelligent packaging technologies, including biodegradable materials and food‑safe solutions, and has an international academic background with a Ph.D. in Packaging from Yonsei University (South Korea) and an M.S. from Michigan State University (USA). He has published extensively, holds editorial roles in scientific journals, and has received several awards for his contributions in packaging research and education.
