Dr. Arindam Bhattacharya, Director- MEA, GoI

Dr. Arindam Bhattacharya is a 2004-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer who has notably served as Director (PP&R) at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi. A medical graduate from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, his career has spanned various high-level administrative and diplomatic roles, including serving as Special Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Medical Education Department and as Additional Director (Admin) at SGPGI Lucknow. In his capacity within the MEA, he has been involved in policy planning and research, representing India’s strategic interests on both domestic and international platforms.
