Dr. Anomitra Chakravarty, KPS Consultants & Impex Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi

Dr. Anomitra Chakravarty brings over 29 years of industry experience across polymers, recycling, and sustainable materials. He is the Managing Director of KPS Consultants & Impex Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, a project and technical consultancy specializing in biodegradable and bioplastics, plastic and rubber recycling, green chemicals and additives, natural fiber composites, and sustainable packaging.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Reliance Industries Ltd. and IndoRama Synthetics, gaining expertise in planning and implementation, product development, quality control, technology indigenization, and market intelligence. He has led several pioneering initiatives, including the first industrial-scale production of Thermoplastic Starch (TPS) in India and its compounding with PBAT, PLA, and PVOH for blown film applications. He has supported multiple Indian manufacturers in obtaining US FDA food-contact approvals for recycled PET and polyolefin resins and has contributed to innovative materials such as rice husk–PVC composites and recycled polyester fiber plants.

His current work includes food-grade approval for recycled HDPE, PP, and LDPE; de-inking and solvent-based recycling of multilayer packaging; value-added chemical production from plastic pyrolysis streams; and development of bio-based chemicals, biodegradable polymers, and sustainable additives. He has also guided projects in PBAT feasibility, reclaimed rubber manufacturing, cryogenic micronized rubber, and devulcanized rubber technologies.
