Johann Tranchell is the Director of Sales & Marketing at Polydime Plastic Packaging Industries (often referred to as Polydime International), based in Sri Lanka. He is a prominent professional in the South Asian packaging industry with over 30 years of management experience, focusing on transforming plastic manufacturing into a sustainable, eco-friendly, and circular economy model. 

• Sustainability Leadership: Tranchell is recognized for promoting “Sustainable Packaging,” actively working to reverse the perception that plastics are entirely antithetical to the environment. He advocates for responsible plastic use, recycling, and the development of biodegradable alternatives.
• Polydime Group Role: At Polydime, which has operations in Sri Lanka and India, he oversees innovations, sales, and marketing. He has been heavily involved in developing Polydime’s recycling capabilities.
• Industry Involvement: He is a board member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging, which is an affiliate of the World Packaging Organisation and the Asian Packaging Foundation.
