Prof. (Dr.) Tanweer Alam is the Additional Director & Regional Officer (RO) at Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Delhi, where he also oversees the IIP Lucknow campus; he is a seasoned expert in packaging technology with extensive academic and research experience, having completed his Ph.D. on modified atmosphere packaging at ICAR-NDRI, Karnal, and previously taught at institutions including Banaras Hindu University. At IIP, he leads initiatives in education, research, industry collaboration and standardization, serves on multiple Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and regulatory panels, has published numerous papers and books, delivered keynote addresses internationally, and played a key role in advancing sustainable packaging education and industry engagement.
