Vineet Kumar Gupta is the Head of Technical Marketing (Petrochemicals) at HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL), a major joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Mittal Energy Investments. Based in Noida, he brings over three decades of expertise to the manufacturing and petrochemicals sectors, specifically leading the market positioning and technical support for HMEL’s refinery and petrochemical complex in Bathinda. In his current role, which he has held since 2010, Mr. Gupta focuses on product innovation and sustainable solutions, notably championing the use of metallocene LLDPE and chemically recycled circular polymers to reduce India’s import dependence. His professional background includes over a decade as Chief Manager of Marketing at Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd and earlier technical leadership at Xpro India Limited. An alumnus of the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI), Kanpur, and the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, he frequently represents HMEL at global industry forums like the World Petrochemical Conference in Houston
